Location Reccee

When we thought of our film trailer we ideally wanted to use a house and build our piece around that . we phoned numerous estate agents around our area to see if we could rent a house or use it for a day to shoot. This gave us little luck and nothing was available. We then considered maybe not using a house at all and then thought of the idea of using a hotel instead. We actually thought that it would be better and work better for our piece , so now we have defiantly decided to rent a hotel and have their permission to shoot. We would use a room with only a sofa bed to bring in our own props and what we need to make it as effective as we can. We researched this and found that the best choice to use would be a Travelodge hotel with rooms costing £19 for a night which would give us enough time to shoot everything we need. essentially this hotel room will just be a blank box for us to create our set in ( please see storyboard for reference). When considering our poster and magazine front cover we have decided to only use computer animated images , meaning there is no need to take photos on a location. When a hotel room is confirmed , I will blog some images and explanations of how we are going to use the location affectively.

Location Reccee continued

4 weeks since my last post ^ -A location for the film trailer has now been decided on. We visited over 5 hotels and non of them had to the space we required or looked like a house a couple would live in so we decided to revert to our original idea of using an actual home house. we managed to secure a modern surburnan attached house gave . we felt that this house was perfect for our trailer as it was modern to represent a young couple but also well established to show that the people living here had been living there for a few years prior to the 'last date'. below is a few images of the house :
